Delbert Lee Jeffrey, 68, Blue Springs, MO, passed away Monday, March 25, 2013. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday, March 29, at St. Peter United Methodist Church, 3609 SW State Route 7, Blue Springs, MO 64014. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, April 1, at the church. Burial with Military Honors will follow at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, MO. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to St. Peter United Methodist Church; The National Kidney Foundation; or Compassionate Care Hospice.

Del was born October 7, 1944 in Powhatten, KS to Lloyd and Earline Jeffrey. He was a U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam, serving honorably from 1967-69. He worked at Research Medical Center for over 20 years.

Del was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Wanda Yarber and Lucie Short; and his granddaughter, Dorie Elisabeth. He is survived by his sister, Barbara Nash; his wife Janet Webb Jeffrey; his sons, David Jeffrey (Celeste), Mark Jeffrey (Erin); daughter, Ann Marie Jeffrey; grandchildren, Kayla, Chase, Alexis and Elizabeth; and many nieces and nephews.
