Delia "Dee" Alvarez passed away March 11, 2018. She was cremated according to her wishes. Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 20, at Mt. Saint Mary's Cemetery, 2201 Cleveland, Kansas City, MO 64127.

Aunt Dee was always there, always present.  Though her love was shown in other ways than the "norm", we knew it was there. She was a beloved Aunt, a great Aunt, and she had a big heart. Aunt Dee suffered with Alzheimer's her last few years of life and we had to watch our loved one forget that they loved us, the love is so strong that it will never be completely erased. We are beyond grateful for the time we had with her. She is gone, but she still lives in our hearts.

Aunt Dee happily joins her mother, father, brothers, and sisters. She is survived by her sisters Alicia Kirkpatrick, Irene Elmore (James), and many nieces, nephews, and greats.

"Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near. Still loved, still missed, and very dear."
