Dennis Duane Copeland, 64, passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 8, 2017, with his wife by his side. Visitation for family & friends will be 6-7:45 p.m. on Monday, November 13, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1357 NE 42 ^nd Terr., Kansas City, MO 64116, where the Rosary will be prayed at 7:45 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 14, at the Church. Cremation will follow. Contributions are suggested to St. Patrick Parish.

Dennis was born July 27, 1953, in Lima, OH. He lived his life selflessly and touched countless lives through his many acts of kindness. He married his high school sweetheart and the love of his life. Together they raised three children, all of whom made him extremely proud.  He was happiest when surrounded by family and friends and especially enjoyed his time coaching all three of his children and their friends. Dennis was the type of soul who touched many, both near and far, always leaving a lasting impression one will never forget. He will never be forgotten and carried in our hearts each day.

Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Duane Copeland; brother, Jeffrey Copeland; nephew, Duane Copeland; niece, Kathrine Broderick; and grandfather, Walter Bitler Copeland. Survivors include his wife, Susan Copeland; sons, Dennis and Kyle Copeland; daughter, Kelly (Copeland) Bachand; son-in-law, Phil Bachand; mother, Vera Jean Andrews; brother, Doug Copeland and his family; father-in-law, Martin Broderick; mother-in-law, Jeanne Broderick; brothers-in-law, Ronald, Martin, and Patrick Broderick, and sister-in-law, Lisa Broderick, and their families.
