Dillard "Dee" Medlock passed away on November 8th, 2023.

Dillard's personality and humor radiated around him. He had a passion for singing and any time you spent with him you could count on being serenaded in the best possible way. He loved spending quality time with family and friends. He had the biggest heart for everyone in our family and out. He would never hesitate to help anyone, whether it be wise words or a long precious hug, he had you. Preceding him in death are his parents Paul and Thelma, his siblings Joann, Tina, Bogey, Dale, and Darrel, his spouse Connie, and his children Sandy, Dale, and Michael.

Dillard is a spouse to Paula Jean – a Father to Sandy, JoAnna, Richard, Kristina, Michael, Dale, Adam, Kelly, Jennifer, Joseph, and Alma – A Grandfather to Jeremy, Brandon, Max, Richard Jr., Kirstin, Austin, Joshua, Natalie, Madi, Gracie, Kendall, Joseph, Samuel, Trey, Tice, Levi, Logan, JT, Joanna, and Anthony, as well as an uncle, cousin and Best Friend to George.

I hope Grandpa walked up the staircase showing his beautiful smile and was greeted by some familiar and greatly missed faces. I pray that he is happy now, and never has to go through any pain ever again. Lord thank you for blessing my family and me with such an amazing soul to call Dad, Son, Brother, Grandpa, Uncle, cousin, and Friend. I know I'm not the only one who's going to miss the tight squeezes, but Lord, I pray that he gives everyone up there with him those squeezes, I know they have missed them too.

One of the strongest people we all know is able to rest now.

Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 15, at White Chapel Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
