Dominic John Saragusa of Gladstone, Missouri, passed away February 18, 2025, at the age of 77.
Dominic is survived by his cherished wife of 57 years, Donna Saragusa; his two children, Michael Saragusa (Amber) and Rosemarie Saragusa (Amy); and his two granddaughters, Lily and Gianna Saragusa. He is also survived by his aunts, Mary Hannan and Clara (David) Stegmeir; his sisters-in-law, Alice Benson and Kathleen Inzerillo; as well as a niece, several nephews, and numerous cousins.
Dominic entered the world on March 4, 1947, in Kansas City, Missouri, as the son of Ida Vazzano and Michael Saragusa. In his early years, he lent a hand at his Aunt France's fruit stand. His career took off at TWA / American Airlines in 1968, where he dedicated 37 years before retiring. Additionally, he spent 29 years at H&R Block, retiring as an enrolled tax agent in 2019. A committed husband and father, Dominic was a straightforward man with great knowledge and advice on several different topic and life experiences. If you asked him for his opinion he would give it to you and also offer to help you in any way. He treasured spending time with his family, relished driving electric cars, enjoyed watching Royals Baseball and Chiefs Football, and stayed updated with the latest technologies. He will always be with us in our hearts.
Services will be held on Friday, February 28, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. with the Funeral Mass at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be at Mt. Saint Mary's Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association
