Roberta Dorene Brown, 91, passed away November 14, 2019. Visitation will be 12-2 p.m. Wednesday, November 20, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124, followed by burial at Fairview Cemetery in Kearney, MO. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to Chain of Hope KC .

Dorene was born July 1, 1928, in Sperry, OK, to the late Claude and Cora Colton. She worked as a waitress at the Kansas City Southern Railroad Beanery for several years and later at Turner's Cafe before retiring.

Dorene was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Brown; daughter, Linda Dougherty; granddaughter, Melissa; and one great-granddaughter. She is survived by her daughter, Jackie Oliver; grandchildren, Lindsy Dugan and John Springstube; and three great-grandchildren.
