Doris Jean Crapisi, 84, of Kansas City, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2017, at St. Luke's Hospice House, where she was surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her children, Vince Crapisi (Christina), Kathy Fuller (David), and Jack Crapisi; nine grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; her sister Loretta Afrisio; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lolly; brother, Robert Seaman, and sister, Helen Giordano.

Doris was a devoted mother and grandmother, loved animals, and enjoyed taking summer trips with her extended family to Lamar, Mo., where she was born and spent much of her childhood before moving to Kansas City. Until her retirement, Doris worked as an administrative assistant at University of Health Sciences (UHS), now Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences.

Visitation is set for 11 a.m. to noon and a memorial service for noon to 1 p.m. on Saturday June 17, at Passantino Bros Funeral Home. Contributions in her memory can be made to one of her favorite charities, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Mid-America Chapter .
