Edward B. McMurray, 96, of Kansas City, MO, passed away July 26, 2022.
Rosary will be Monday, August 1st 6-6:30 pm and visitation 6:30-8 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 2 E. 75th St, Kansas City, MO. Mass will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 2nd at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church and burial to follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 7601 Blue Ridge Blvd., Raytown, MO 64138.
Edward was born on November 29, 1925, to Thomas and Hazel McMurray. He was one of thirteen children. Edward was a World War II veteran, and then joined the Local 4 which turned into Local 15 Bricklayers Union. He also worked for St. Elizabeth parish for 30 years. Survived by wife Vincie McMurray and his five children Michael (Denise), Anthony (Kassandra), John (Janice), Vincent (Dara), and Jo Marie (Kevin). Edward was a proud grandpa to 14 grandchildren, Michelle, Elena, Angela, Christopher, David, Victorya, Levi, Melissa, Amanda, Alyson, Jordan, Tyler, Megan, Ashley, and 27 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. He will always be remembered for his famous saying "Are you ready to go to Hollywood on my plane?" and always called the girls "movie stars" and the boy's "quarterbacks".
