July 8, 2021, Elizabeth Theresa Cipolla (Pileggi) passed away peacefully in her sleep. She was 95 years old, lived a beautiful life, and touched the hearts of many. She was born October 24, 1925, to Antonio and Maria Pileggi (Marotta). She was preceded in death by her parents, beloved son Antone Cipolla, husband Dominic Cipolla, cherished brother Phil Pileggi, sister-in-law Elizabeth Pileggi, and son-in-law Ralph Fieldcamp.

"Liz" was a lifelong Kansas City resident who found her most favorite memories living in the "North End" alongside many family and friends. She loved her church Holy Rosary, the Don Bosco Center, and the carnivals in the "Old Neighborhood." She was a Cover Girl for the American Tribune and everyone always spoke of her beauty inside and out. She was a graduate of Manuel Vocational High School where she studied dressmaking. She was very talented and was proud to showcase her pictures wearing her beautiful dresses. She also loved playing her accordion for others, swimming, roller skating, and everything beautiful nature had to offer. She was a Girl Scout Troop Leader at Holy Rosary Church and shared all she knew and loved about flowers, trees, birds, constellations, and so much more. She loved Glenn Miller and big band music. She loved to dance the jitterbug, swing, and waltz and proudly said she learned from Uncle Jimmy and Uncle Sam as they would dance at all the "Italian weddings." She was a devoted patriot and took so much pride her entire life to proudly say, "I was a riveter on the B25 bombers during WWII." A "Homefront Veteran" and "Rosie The Riveter" while her husband to be was overseas serving his country. When he returned, they married in 1945 in her beloved Holy Rosary Church and went on to have a daughter and two sons. She instilled in her children and also her grandchildren the importance of family and the ties that bind us. She never knew a stranger, and her goodness and smile would light up a room. She owed her amazing kind and loving heart to her grandmother who she adored and bestowed on her own grandchildren as well. She devoted her entire life to always helping others. Her family was everything to her and her house was "Home Base" to her children and all of her grandchildren. Although her "Little Blue House on the Hill" was small, she delighted in entertaining her entire immediate and extended families for the holidays and more. She was a fabulous cook who made sure everyone's favorite dish was included in her big Italian dinners. Everyone had their favorite type of "Basta" so she happily boiled many pots to go with her famous "Sugu" and meatballs. She arranged many family reunions in the park as to keep everyone close, happy, and together. She was truly the matriarch and heart of her family.

She is survived by her daughter Donna Fieldcamp, son Pat Cipolla (Rita), granddaughters Diana Fieldcamp (Milan), Lisa McCloskey, Angela Gibbons (Kevin), Natalie Teresk (Martin), grandson Dominic Cipolla, and ten great grandchildren. Also her nieces, nephews, and many cousins she adored. She will be missed beyond measure and words, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all her family and those who had the great fortune to have her in their lives.

Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 14 at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, followed by Graveside Services at Mt. Saint Mary's Cemetery. Per her request in lieu of flowers, please make donations at the Funeral Home to Shriner's Hospital for Children, 4400 Clayton Ave, St Louis, Mo 63110 in memory of her mother Maria Pileggi.

As a family we would like to thank each and every family member and friends who supported her and showed her love when she lost her beloved son and as she fought with Alzheimer's. Our wish is that someday there will be a cure and that everyone will smile when they remember the heart and soul of our family, our Mother, our "Little Nani", and "The Queen."
