Obituary

Elizabeth "Lee" Marie (Vigliaturo) Parrish, 95, passed away July 14, 2015, at Kansas City Hospice House. The Rosary will be prayed at 2:30 p.m. followed by Visitation from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 19, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124. Family and friends will gather on Monday, July 20, at St. Marks Catholic Church, 3736 S. Lee's Summit Road, Independence, MO, where the Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Saint Mary's Cemetery.

Elizabeth was born May 18, 1920, in Kansas City, MO, to Francesco and Antonia (Gigliotti) Vigliaturo. She was an active member of Assumption/St. Anthony's for over 50 years and loved her Mary Angels Altar Society Circle before moving to Independence, MO to join St. Marks Parish. She loved cooking, cleaning and caring for those in need. She was happiest when she was with her family and adored her grandchildren. She was a loyal Royals fan and enjoyed working at the stadium in her later years.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, William C. Parrish; brothers, Jim, Tony and Sam Vigliaturo; sisters, Angeline Bohanon and Congetta Distefano; and her great-granddaughter, Andrea Bennett Becken. Survivors include her sister, Rose (Cheebay) Guastello; brothers, Joe (Betty) and Carmen (Virginia) Vigliaturo; her son, Bill (Rose) Parrish; her daughters, Bunny (Nick) Fiorello, Carol (John) Rinella, Linda (Fred) Bonadonna, Rosemarie (Joe) Wurtz; 68 grand, great and great-great grandchildren; and her best friend of 59 years Barbara Nuccio.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons; Joe Mike, Bill and Nick Joseph Fiorello, John Anthony Rinella, James Joseph, Michael and Vincent Bonadonna, Bill Parrish, Matthew, Nicholas and Jay Arnold and Alex Wurtz.

Special Care givers: Jean Fasone Fiorello and Maria Bonadonna Dempsey.

Special thank you to Villa St. Francis staff and Sisters Lillis, Celine and Sola, Catholic Community Hospice, and Kansas City Hospice House for the loving care they provided to our mother.
