Ellen L. Vogliardo, 85, passed away Wednesday, November 7, 2012, with her family by her side. Visitation will begin with the Rosary at 9:30 a.m. and continue until 10:45 a.m. Monday, November 12, at St. Therese Catholic Church, 7207 NW Hwy 9, Kansas City, MO 64152, where the Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Kansas City North.

Ellen was born February 20, 1927, in Kirksville, MO to Dr. Clarence and Helen Callison. She graduated with a degree in music from Stephen's College in Columbia, MO. She was a member of St. Therese Parish, where she was active with the Altar and Rosary Society, and played the organ at the church for 10 years. Ellen loved gardening and writing poetry. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed. Her grandchildren were her greatest joy.

Ellen was preceded in death by her parents; her sons, John and Anthony Vogliardo; brother, Charles Callison; and sisters, Julia Sarvis, Virginia Scamahorn and Carolyn Blackburn.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 65 years, Joe Vogliardo; her children, Michael Vogliardo and wife Joanne, Victor Vogliardo and wife Teri, Angela Vogliardo, Joseph P. Vogliardo, Julie Krieg and husband Tim, Lisa Ball and husband Randy, Christopher Vogliardo and wife Brenda; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Rebeca Callison; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
