Emmett "Gene" Ross, 86, Northeast Kansas City, MO, passed away Friday, August 10, 2012, at NorthCare Hospice House. Visitation will be 9-10 a.m. Monday, August 13, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 5106 St. John Ave., Kansas City, MO 64123, where the Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Mt. Saint Mary's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to NorthCare Hospice House.

Gene was born October 10, 1925 in Kansas City, KS, and was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII. He was owner of Beaumont Inc. for many years, and was a member of Holy Cross Parish for 63 years.

Gene was preceded in death by his wife, Nicholine (LeGrotte), in 2006. He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Michael Regan, Sheryl and Steve Fairhurst; grandchildren, Nikki Thomas, Beth and James Hasch; and great-grandsons, Dylan and Brady.

The family offers a special thank you to Dr. James Stoddard for the care and compassion shown to Gene over the years.

Gene was a loving and generous father and grandfather. He will be remembered for his kindness and generosity to all.
