On December 4, 2020, Esther McMurray, 86, passed away at 3 p.m., the hour of our Lord. Due to the pandemic, a private service was held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help / Redemptorist Church, followed by burial at Mount Olivet Cemetery.

Esther was born a twin on January 4, 1934, in Kansas City, MO, to the late Anthony and Rose (D'Angelo) Saladino. For 45 years she owned and operated Dairy Queen on Independence Avenue along with her husband John and was affectionately known as "the lady with the beehive hairdo" and the dairy 'Queen'. She had a generous heart and supported several charities and organizations, especially in honor of the two holy days she held close to her heart – St. Joseph and the Immaculate Conception. Esther loved to dance and was quite a stepper. At the first sound of a song, she would blossom into a 'Kathryn Murray'. She was the life of the party and never knew a stranger.

Esther was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, John McMurray , in 2017; her twin sister Annette Herman; and her sister and brother-in-law Rose and Sam Cerniglia. She is survived by several nieces and nephews including, Diana Cerniglia, Nick Cerniglia, Layla Baker, Nicco and Rocco Holmes-Cerniglia, Denise Eager, Paul Eager, Mason, Lennon, and Merrick Eager, Danielle Alexander, Riley and Cameron Alexander, Mike Herman, Joseph Herman, Hayden and Evan Herman, Laura Lebold; and her brother-in-law, Karl Herman.
