Fannie Marie Tornabene, 88, Gladstone, MO, passed away Saturday, May 5, 2012. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 8, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124, where the Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m. Family and friends will meet on Wednesday, May 9, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 900 NE Shady Lane Dr., Kansas City, MO 64118, where the Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 9 a.m. Burial will follow in Mt. Fannie was born July 4, 1923 in Kansas City, MO. She was an active member of the American Daughters of Columbus for many years, serving on the board, participating in the bocce league and supporting various club programs. She was also a longtime member of St. Charles Borromeo Parish and the friendly club. Fannie was employed at the Air Force base PX in Illinois where her husband Phil was stationed. She worked at North American Press and later owned Blue Valley Market in Kansas City with her husband Phil.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Phillip Tornabene; her parents, Joseph and JoAnne Cutrera; and her brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Dorothy Cutrera.

Fannie is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Frances Cutrera; her sister, Theresa Cavallaro; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Frank Tornabene, RoseMarie and Forrest Greer, Frances Tornabene; and many nieces and nephews whom she adored.
