Florence Marie (Burasco) Fayard passed away September 5, 2012 at Kansas City Hospice House surrounded by her family.

She was born in Kansas City, MO on August 5, 1931. Florence was preceded in death by her parents, Henry J. and Kay Burasco; her husband, Robert H. Fayard; and two brothers, Nugent and Anthony Burasco. She is survived by her children, Juliann F. Smith, Robert Fayard, Mary Kay Hayde (Tim); two wonderful grandchildren, Jake and Kari Hayde; brother and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Florence loved cooking for her family get-togethers, reading, playing bridge, enjoyed flowers, music and had a strong devotion to the Catholic Church. She was very active with the St. Joseph's Guild, Widows Group, Altar Society, and St. Joseph's Table.

On Saturday, September 8, Our Lady of the Presentation, Lee's Summit, will host her "Celebration of Life" beginning with the Rosary at 9 a.m., Visitation 9:30-10:30, Mass at 10:30, and burial following in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Contributions are suggested to the Kansas City Hospice House. Florence will truly be missed by her family and friends.
