Florence Marie Lusco, 91, passed away March 21, 2016. Visitation will be 10 a.m. with the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 28, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 911 E. Missouri Ave., Kansas City, MO 64106. Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery.

Florence was born August 31, 1924, in Kansas City, MO, to Joseph and Anna Giambrone. She and her brother, Tony, were first generation Americans. Their parents emigrated from Sicily and settled in the Sicilian neighborhood called Columbus Park. The many immigrant families she grew up with were a source of love and pride throughout her 90 plus years.

Florence was preceded in death by her loving husband Santo; brother Tony Giambrone and sister-in-law Maxine; brother-in-law Shay Lusco and wife Vicki; and sister-in-law Rose Marie Moretina and husband Charles. She is survived by her daughters Fran Burkhart and husband Ron, Anita Horine and husband Don; and son Joe Lusco. Florence so loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved her nieces and nephews.
