Florence Ann
Mancuso
Aug 6, 1931 — Aug 25, 2021
Florence Ann (Mangiaracina) Mancuso, 90, peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family on August 25, 2021. The Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. with the Funeral Mass at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, August 30, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 911 E Missouri Ave. KCMO 64106. Burial will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
Florence was born on August 6, 1931, to the late John and Angeline (Cerra) Mangiaracina, and was a lifelong resident of Columbus Park in Kansas City, MO. She met her husband James on Missouri Avenue and they enjoyed 58 years of marriage until his passing. In her younger years she was very athletic and was a yoga instructor. She enjoyed bocce at the American Daughters of Columbus. She was very artistic and was a published poet. Florence was very active at Holy Rosary Parish, especially the St. Joseph's Table, and was a member of Our Lady of the Audience and the Altar & Rosary Society. She especially enjoyed her trip to Fatima with her sister Loretta. Above all, she dearly loved her family. Nothing was more important than being with family, especially on Sundays to carry on her mother's tradition of making meatballs after Mass. She also carried on making her mother's famous cheesecakes and sold them to restaurants. She was a beautiful lady who was loved and will be missed by everyone who knew her.
Florence was preceded in death by her husband James F. Mancuso; her son John; daughter-in-law Anna (Cucchiara) Mancuso; her parents and her husband's parents; her sister Mary K. Conforti; her brothers-in-law Nick Conforti and William "Boots" Masucci; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Josephine and Tony Accurso, John and Sue Mancuso; nephews Jon Mancuso and John Masucci; and her niece JoLynn Distasio, who just went to be with the Lord.
