Florine Elizabeth DeMeo, "Flo", 103, of Gladstone, MO, passed away March 12, 2024, peacefully surrounded by family. Services will be held on Wednesday, March 20, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. with the Funeral Mass at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Saint Mary's Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Flo was born June 26, 1920, in Kansas City, MO, and graduated from St. Aloysius High School. She grew up in the Northeast area surrounded by her many cousins and family. She always had an open door and Italian food for the many neighborhood children who she "adopted" as her own. Flo enjoyed a long career with the federal government working for the Federal Highway Department. She was one of the founders of the seatbelt under the direction of homeland security. She was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with family, neighbors, and friends. Her door was always open with a smile, conversation, and a cup of coffee. She believed a quarter cup of blueberries a day would keep you healthy! Here's to 103 Flo!

Flo was preceded in death by her parents Alfonso and Elvira; her brothers Marino and Angelo; and her sister Marie. She is survived by many cousins and friends.
