Frances Casto, 86, passed away Friday, October 26, 2012. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, October 30, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124, where the Rosary will be prayed at 6 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 911 E. Missouri Ave., Kansas City, MO 64106. Burial will follow in Mt. Saint Mary's Cemetery.

Frances was born in Kansas City on December 27, 1925 to Joseph and Mary Hernandez. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a lifelong member of Holy Rosary Parish, and retired from the Kansas City, MO School District Food Service.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; two sisters; and her great-granddaughter, Olivia Burton. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, David Castro; her children, Patricia and David Carrillo, David and Elaine Castro, Tina Castro and Steve Yoder, Deanna Mead and Robert Corlee; grandchildren, Rick Simmons, Laura Swearengin, Lisa Castro, David Carrillo III, Michelle Castro, David Castro, Joe Mike Castro, Jolene Mead; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Rita Alvarez and Mary Lamendola; and brother, Victor Hernandez.
