Frances Mary (Saia) Lipari, 98, passed away Friday, October 10, 2014, at Ashton Court Care Center, with her family by her side. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday, October 13, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124, where the Rosary will be prayed at 6 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 14, at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 6415 NE Antioch Rd., Gladstone, MO 64119. Entombment will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery.

Frances was born January 25, 1916, in Kansas City, MO, to Vincenzo Charles and Frances (Costa) Saia. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Rosario Lipari; sister, Margaret Saia; brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe and Annette Saia, Michael and Dorothy Saia; niece, Christine Saia; son-in-law, Carl Pittala; and great-grandson, Anthony Paul Guastello.

Frances is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Sara Pittala, Frances and Mike Guastello; grandchildren, Anthony and Mary Pittala, Michael Guastello Jr., Joe and Anna Guastello; great-grandchildren, John and Matthew Pittala, Joseph Jr., Ava Rose, and John Guastello; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

We wish to thank Ashton Court Care Center for their constant vigil, love and support, and exceptional one on one care by staff members. We also wish to thank Crossroads Hospice for the constant attention and surveillance of Mom while under their care.

Mom was a loving, caring and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who gave of herself everyday of her life. The world is a better place because she was in it.
