Francisca Maria "Frances" Lopez, 83, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2013, at her home. Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Sunday, October 27, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124, where the Rosary will be prayed at 5 p.m.. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, October 28, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 309 Benton Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124. Burial will follow in Mt. Saint Mary's Cemetery.

Frances was born October 1, 1930, in Reynoa, Tampas, Mexico, to Pedro Galvan and Maria Dolores Castillo. She was a loving homemaker for her husband and eight children. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 59 years, Roberto C. Lopez, in 2005; her son, David John Lopez, in 1995; and her sister, Celila Galvan.

Survivors include her children and their spouses, Rose and John Espinosa, Maria Humphreys, Joseph Lopez, Gloria Hampton, Mario Lopez, John Lopez, Helena "Penny" and Gary Box; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and sisters, Benita Galvan of Mexico, Anna Maria Ramos of McAllen, TX, Ofilia Galvan and Israel Galvan of Mexico.
