Frances Maenza, 88, Gladstone, MO, passed away Monday, July 23, 2012. Visitation will begin with the Rosary at 5 p.m. and continue until 9 p.m. Thursday, July 26, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 9 a.m. Friday, July 27, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1357 NE 42nd Terr., Kansas City, MO 64116. Frances was born April 30, 1924 in Camporeale, Sicily. She was a men's tailor for Woolf Brothers for over 25 years and later was the in-house tailor for The Kansas City Club until she retired. She was a member of the American Daughters of Columbus and the Camporealisi Club. Frances possessed a contagious smile that could brighten a room and make anyone feel loved and cared for. She is joining her husband and dance partner of 60 years, Salvatore "Sam" Maenza, who preceded her in death in 2002.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Gina and Richard DuRant; sons and daughters-in-law, Vince and Joann Maenza, Sam and Karen Maenza; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sisters, Josephine Calandra and Mary LoGiudice; and numerous nieces and nephews.
