Frances M. (Risalvato) Tousa, 85, passed away Saturday, September 17, 2016. Visitation will be 9 a.m. with the Mass of Christian Burial at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, September 20, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 911 E. Missouri Ave., Kansas City, MO 64106. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Mausoleum, Kansas City North.

Frances was born January 12, 1931, in Kansas City, MO, to John and Geraldine (Ancona) Risalvato. She was the matriarch of the family and was known for her cooking and singing. Sunday was the most important day of her week, spending time with her family, laughing and playing cards.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 58 years, Frank A. Tousa; her grandson, Joseph "Joey" Palmentere; brothers and sisters-in-law, Pat and Cinda Risalvato, John and Anita Risalvato, Joe and Florence Risalvato; sisters and brother-in-law, Vivian and Albert Verdusco; and brother-in-law, Nathal Occhipinti.

Frances is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Margie and Tom Miele, Gerri and Benny Palmentere, and Toni Marie Giordano; her grandchildren, Tony and Tina Miele, Tina and Joe Mormino, Frank and Mary Miele, Anna Palmentere, Kathy Palmentere, Maria and Carl Belgiere, and Anna Giordano; her great-grandchildren, Salvatore, Joe Joe, Tomas, Stefano, Valentina, Joey, Lucia, and Anthony; sister, Theresa Occhipinti; sister-in-law, Nancy Enos; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family wishes to thank NorthCare Hospice for their help and kindness, and also family and friends for their care and support. Frances was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be missed by all.
