Francis "Jane" Juanita Russell, 69, passed away Monday, February 27, 2017.

Jane, better known as Nanie, was born March 26, 1947, in Lafe, AR. She is the last of six children born to Willie and Sadie Russell.  Jane was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Genieve Adams, Charles Russell, Anita Humbers, Jimmy Russell, and Sherron Snowden.

Jane lived in the Northeast most of her adult life with John and Sherron where she was considered a beloved neighborhood mother, an angel collector, and avid animal lover with a heart of gold.  She retired from AT&T after 35 years and had served as president of CWA Local 6326.

Survivors include her nephews and niece, "her kids": J.E. Snowden (Dawna), Willie Snowden (Becky), Pam Landers (Joe), and Jimmy Snowden (Gayle); her "grandkids": Lisa Fielder (Brent), Kellie Jennens (Chris), Erik Snowden, Amanda Snowden, B-Bo Snowden, Joe-Joe Landers, and Johnelle Landers; her "great-grandkids": Lucas and Brailyn Snowden; and cousins: Kenneth and Jerry Russell and Charlotte, Freddie, and Jake Humbers.

Visitation will be Friday, March 3, from 6-8 pm at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64124. Funeral Services will be Saturday, March 4, at 1pm at the funeral home and followed by burial at Mount Washington Cemetery.
