Frank Joseph
Brancato
May 28, 1953 — Feb 10, 2023
Frank Joseph Brancato passed away on February 10, 2023, at the age of 69. Frank was born on May 28, 1953, in Kansas City, Missouri to Salvatore and Rose (Cusumano) Brancato. Frank was the second oldest in a family of six children.
At a young age, Frank worked at Roma Bakery for his grandfather Joseph Cusumano whom he adored. He attended De LaSalle High School, and upon its closing, graduated from St. Mary's High School. At 17 years old, he was introduced to the girl who would become his wife of 49 years, Teresa Jean Spino. They would have three children Roselyn, Sam, and Frances "Franie".
Frank joined Local 124 IBEW at 20 years old and was a commercial electrician until his retirement. He loved his job and would often have men from other trades stop him to say hello. He wouldn't always remember their names, but they always remembered his.
Frank's family was everything. He would do anything for his wife and children. He was elated when he became a grandfather. He could not spoil his three granddaughters enough and they knew they had "Papa" wrapped around their fingers. They were truly the apple of his eye.
Frank was one of a kind. He loved to joke with friends and family. You could always find him at QuikTrip where he would get his coffee and lottery tickets. Frank was such a regular that he knew everyone who worked there by name.
Frank was preceded in death by his grandparents Joseph & Carmeline Cusumano and Frank & Josephine Brancato; parents Salvatore & Rose Brancato; in-laws Frank & Frances Hawver; sister Josephine Brancato; and nephew Anthony Brancato.
Frank is survived by his wife of 49 years, Teresa Jean; his children, Roselyn (John) Arnold of Kansas City, MO; Dr. Sam Brancato of Los Angeles, CA; and Franie (Joe) Polito of Kansas City, MO; brothers, Joe (Rozann) Brancato and Phillip (Enza) Brancato of Kansas City, MO; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Frank's grandchildren: (Roselyn's) Nina; (Franie's) Giavanna, Mia, and unborn Baby Boy due in April 2023.
Frank, we love you and will miss you always.
