Obituary

Frank Carollo, 64, of Lee's Summit, MO, passed away on August 31, 2024.

Frank was born on February 19, 1960, in Palermo, Sicily. He immigrated to America in 1973 with his family. He started his career at Boyles Meat Company as a meat cutter until joining the family business, Carollo's Grocery & Deli at the City Market, where he worked until his passing. Frank was devoted to his Catholic faith which he practiced in his daily life. He was known for his passion for hunting, bird dogs, and his unwavering commitment to his family. Frank was an avid outdoorsman who found joy in the tranquility of nature and the thrill of the hunt. His dedication to his hobby was matched only by his love for his family and friends. He is remembered for his warm heart, generous spirit, and the countless stories he told at "deer camp."

Frank was preceded in death by his father Antonino Carollo, mother Maria Carollo, brother-in-law Giovan Battista La Barbera, and niece Rita Crivello.  He is survived by his siblings Francesca (Giovanni) Crivello, Nino (Pam) Carollo, Anna La Barbera, Rosa (Vincenzo) Carnevali, Vincenza (Salvatore) Di Stefano, Sal (Kim) Carollo, and Giovanni (Tonya) Carollo; his eight nieces, 15 nephews, seven great-nieces, six great-nephews; and his many cousins in both Sicily and America.
