Francesco "Frank" DiMaggio, 89, passed away Friday, June 3, 2016. The Rosary will be prayed at 5 p.m. followed by Visitation from 5:30 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 9, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124. Family and Friends will gather on Friday, June 10, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 900 NE Shady Lane Dr., Kansas City, MO 64118, where the Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Mausoleum, Kansas City North.

Frank was born April 13, 1927, in San Giuseppe Jato, Sicily, to Antonino and Margherita (Micciche) DiMaggio, and immigrated to the United States in 1963. He retired from Burd & Fletcher in 1992, and was a property investor / landlord in the northeast Kansas City area.

Frank was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Antonina (Donze) DiMaggio, in 2013; his parents; and his siblings, Calogero DiMaggio, Parmina Vaccaro Notte, Nannetta LaMilia, and Joseph DiMaggio. Survivors include his children, Margaret Ibarra and husband Joe, Anthony DiMaggio and wife Theresa, Phyllis Cangelosi and husband Steve; 10 grandchildren; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Paul Donze, Vincenzo and Franca Donze, Anthony Caravella, Matilda Donze, Ciccio Vaccaro Notte, and Vincenzo La Milia; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Frank was a loving father and grandfather who will be missed by all.
