Frank Benanti Jr., age 88, of Kansas City, MO, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2020.

Born Frank Benanti Jr. in Kansas City, MO on October 17, 1931 to Judge Frank Benanti Sr. and Josephine LaBoi.  He graduated De La Salle High School and Benedictine college. Frank was a military veteran, serving in the Korean War. Life of work in wholesale liquor sales, owning Texas Tom's restaurant in Blue Springs, MO.  Retail liquor sales at Milgram's Food. He was married to the love of his life Barbara Jean Meyer in 1956 for 58 years.

He is survived by sisters Josephine Badale and Clarinne DiGiovanni, his children Frank David Benanti III, wife Beth, grandson Frank IV; Michael, wife Connie, granddaughters Camryn and Mikayla; Patrick, granddaughter, Tahlia, great granddaughter Alessa; Ken, wife Melissa, grandchildren  Mallory, husband Justin, Kyle, great grandchildren Payton, Hadley, Carter

Frank enjoyed fun filled times with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Frank loved to goose and duck hunt, dove and pheasant hunt, teaching his sons his love for the outdoors and hunting.  Frank was also an avid fisherman.  Teaching his son's how to fish at Kernoodle Lake in Grandview, MO. Later in life Frank enjoyed freshwater and saltwater fishing trips with family and friends to place's like; Islamorada, FL for grouper and red snapper, Rainy Lake for walleye and small mouth bass, Lake Pomme De Terre for crappie and bass and local crappie fishing at Hillsdale Lake.

Frank and his love, Barbara (Barb) loved to garden in their backyard.  His favorite plants were tomatoes, green beans, squash, asparagus. Frank and Barb loved taking road trips together to Colorado, Nebraska, South Dakota, Arkansas, Mississippi and Florida. He and Barb had a love to take excursions to local casinos with their church family.  Frank enjoyed having weekly breakfast with his close friends.

Frank's passing leave's a hole in so many hearts. Our memories of him will make us laugh an and make us cry.  We will miss him as a fishing buddy, his determination to eliminate the squirrels eating his tomatoes! Sunday pasta & meatballs or Italian sausage and steaks on the grill, and his gentle personality and kind love.

Visitation will be Friday, February 21 at 9:00 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church, 8510 Wornall Rd, Kansas City, MO 64114.
