Frank Octavio, 94, Lee's Summit, MO, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2015. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 20, at Our Lady of the Presentation Catholic Church, 130 NW Murray Rd., Lee's Summit, MO 64084, where the Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society.

Frank was born in Hawaii on February 9, 1921, to Manuel and Maria Octavio, who immigrated to Kauai from the Portuguese Madeira Island in 1906. He served as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army of the Pacific during WWII. After the war ended he returned to Kauai but shortly thereafter moved to the mainland where he lived in Chicago then Kansas City. He worked as a supervisor for AMF in bowling alley installation. In 1956, he started Kansas City Bowling Supplies and that year married Lucile. Following a long and successful career as a business owner in the Greater Kansas City area, Frank retired to Kauai in 1985 and lived there for five years before returning to Lee's Summit in 1991. He was a loyal and faithful husband, father and grandfather.

Frank was preceded in death by his brothers, John and Serafin Octavio; and sisters, Mary Ann Scott and Beatrice Almeida. He is survived by his wife, Lucile; his children, Larry, Mary, and Kathleen; grandchildren, Melissa Garwick and Conner Dreher; sisters, Josephine Douglas and Sylvia Yonalunas; and many nieces and nephews.
