Frank R. White, 86, passed away Sunday, January 24, 2016, in Platte City, MO. Visitation will be 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 29, at St. Therese Catholic Church, 7207 NW Hwy 9, Kansas City, MO 64152, where the Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Raytown, MO.

Frank, or "Rex" as he was known, was born to the late Frank and Maude (Garst) White in Roanoke, VA, on March 8, 1929. He graduated from Jefferson High in 1946 and Virginia Tech in 1952 with a B/S in Mechanical Engineering. Upon graduating he went to Columbus, OH, and became a Power Plant Development Engineer with North American Aviation. In 1956 he took a position in sales with the Garrett Corporation in Indianapolis, IN, then on to Atlanta, GA, Washington D.C., and the Hampton, VA, office (covering NASA and Langley AFB). Later on he managed the Oak Ridge, TN, office (on Centrifuge Development for the Department of Energy). From there, Frank managed the Dayton, OH, office covering Wright Patterson AFB. In 1984 he was elevated to Vice President of Sales for Allied Signal (now Honeywell) until his retirement in 1990.

Upon his retirement Frank moved to Palm Desert, CA, where he met and married Nadine (Bellante) White. Frank and Nadine enjoyed playing golf and took time to travel around the world. When Frank could no longer play golf they left Palm Desert, CA, and moved to Kansas City, MO in 2004. Nadine passed away May 22, 2015.

Frank is survived by a brother, Richard Garst White; a son, Frank White Jr. of Tempe, AZ; and a daughter, Judy Hamilton of Tampa, FL. They are the children of Frank's marriage to Anne (Shropshire) White of Roanoke, VA, his childhood sweetheart and next door neighbor. Anne passed away in 1987. In addition, Frank is survived by three grandchildren, Sydney Hamilton, Rush White and Jeff White; and seven great-granddaughters, Emily Anne White, Samantha White, Nicole White, Megan White, and Allison White.
