Freda "Lou" Distefano, born May 22, 1937, went home to be with her Lord January 11, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband John "Big John" Distefano and brother John T. Fauerbach.

Lou loved to travel and saw much of the country with her husband John in their motor home. She visited family in Arkansas and California on a regular basis. She was also able to take several trips out of the country - Italy with her church group was her favorite.
Although retired from Milgram's grocery and Allen Financial Services, Lou stayed very busy. She was a sister of the sorority Beta Sigma Phi, chapter Laureate Gamma Upsilon from 2004 until her death. She was honored to have served as president for one term. She thoroughly enjoyed the company of these lovely ladies.

Lou was active in and loved her parish Holy Family. At Holy Family she was involved with St. Bridget's group who knit prayer shawls, scarves for the homeless, baby caps and so much more.

She will be sadly missed by her brother Bill Halsey and sister Jayne Larkin of Colorado, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, and her many friends she was blessed to have.
