Geneva "Jean" Frances Spini, 85, passed away New Years Day 2013 with her family by her side. Memorial Visitation will be 9-10 a.m. Saturday, January 5, at St. Mark's Catholic Church, 3736 S. Lee's Summit Rd., Independence, MO 64055, where the Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m.

Jean was born March 8, 1927 in Kansas City, KS. She served as a den mother with the Boy Scouts and a leader with the Girl Scouts. She also volunteered for many years at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.

Jean is survived by her children and their spouses, Steve and Peggy Spini, Helen Spini, Danny and JoEllen Spini, Jeannie Spini, Mary Jo Spini; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Pearl Ciko, Lucy Camerillo; brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Jerilyn Cornelius; and best friend, John Geier.

Jean was a loving mother and grandmother who will be missed by all.
