Geneva Mattox Gurera, 89, of Independence, MO, passed away March 28, 2017.

Geneva was born March 27, 1928, in Bogard, MO, and attended school in Tina, MO. She retired from the IRS in Kansas City. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Nellie Mattox; and brothers, Robert, Clarence, and Billy Ray Mattox. She is survived by her children, Pamela Walker & husband Bob, and Gary Wilson & wife Billie; her grandchildren, Kevin and Kyle Goodinier, Kimberly Woodruff; and sisters, Wauneta Plumb of Scottsdale, AZ, and Betty Daniel of Las Vegas, NV.
