George Demetrius Aretakis passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at the age of 30. He was born on September 30, 1994, to Peter H. and Janet S. Aretakis of Kansas City, Missouri.

Services will be held on Friday September 26th, at St. Mark's Catholic Church, 3736 S. Lee's Summit Road, Independence, MO 64055. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. with the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Mount Moriah Cemetery.
