George William "Bill" Cronenbold, 74, Raytown, MO, died March 27, 2013. He leaves his wife of almost 42 years, Carol Cronenbold, of the home; his half-sister, Barbara Garland, of Independence, MO; and his sister-in-law, Suzan Braun, of Charleston, IL.

George was born March 8, 1939 in Independence, MO, the son of the late Edward L. and Florence Irene (Hutcheson) Cronenbold. He was a 1957 graduate of William Chrisman High School, and was a proud Eagle Scout and veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve. He worked for Hallmark and Avon, and retired from Western Auto in advertising after 30 years of service. He loved to play poker with his buddies and enjoyed fishing with his wife.

Visitation will be 9-10 a.m. Monday, April 1, at Mount Olivet Mausoleum, 7601 Blue Ridge, Raytown, MO 64138, where Military Honors will begin at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Wayside Waifs in Kansas City, MO.
