Geraldine Marie Sprenger, of Lee's Summit, MO, passed away May 20, 2016, with family at her side at KU Medical Center. There will be a private graveside service at Mount Olivet Cemetery. She will be laid to rest beside her late husband, George J Sprenger, who passed in 2003.
Geraldine was born August 12, 1936 in Tulsa Oklahoma. The majority of her life was spent in Kansas City. She was a graduate of Lillis High School. She was married to her high school sweetheart in 1957 and together they raised five children. Geraldine was the owner-operator of Topsy's Old Fashioned Popcorn and Ice Cream Shoppe in downtown Kansas City for sixteen years. In her later years, she worked for Manheim Auto Auction in North Kansas City.
A loving mother and wife who will be dearly missed by her five children and their spouses, Dennis Sprenger (Sylvia), Pam Porter (Jamie), Peggy Sprenger (Glenn Coyle), Paula Huerter (Jerry), Susan Mead, twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
