Glenda Gail "GG" (Eppert) DiMaggio passed away on May 20, 2025, at the age of 89.

Born on March 16, 1936, in Kansas City, Missouri to Undine and Harlow Eppert. Glenda graduated from East high school where she developed and maintained friendships that lasted till present day. Glenda was a secretary for State Farm in her early years when she met a handsome blonde blue-eyed man that would soon become her world. Glenda married Santo DiMaggio on February 16, 1963, and started a family which she was fiercely devoted to. Glenda was a loving, compassionate, thoughtful, beautiful soul who would do almost anything for those she loved.

Glenda and Santo went on to have three children Phillip Alan DiMaggio, Michael Anthony DiMaggio and Sara Elizabeth DiMaggio. Michael passed away shortly after birth.

Glenda was not only a mother and homemaker, but she was part of the Alter Society and played in the bell choir at her church.

Glenda had a love for music of all types from old gospel hymns to rock and roll. She enjoyed traveling and took many trips with her young family, seeing lots of our country from a station wagon and pop-up camper. In later years she would take trips with Sara and her grandson Colton.

Glenda had an inner passion for knowledge and history leading her to interests in genealogy. She was an avid news watcher and was always up to date on the goings-on in the world. She was also the weather radio to her children, always making sure they were safe and knew what was coming their way.

Glenda loved to cook, and it showed in the many wonderful meals she would make for her family and not to mention the Italian cookies she made for both her kid's weddings.

Glenda was a vital part of all her son Phil's businesses over the years. She helped at gun shows, designed and created costumes and scenes at the haunted house and worked at Sun City Tanning & Swimwear. She loved talking with all the customers that came in. It didn't matter what the subject was, from politics to cooking, she just enjoyed everyone and to many, she became known simply as "Mom".

Glenda even played matchmaker to Phil by introducing him to his best friend and love Rachel.

Glenda had two grandchildren, Colton Butler now 25 and Angelina DiMaggio now 16, who meant the world to her. Glenda was so full of life and had a positive impact on the lives of everyone she encountered. She was always there to lend a helping hand to her children and grandchildren and one of her favorite sayings was "smile, it increases your face value". With the uncountable number of smiles Glenda brought to all of us, we are rich beyond compare.

Glenda was preceded in death by her parents Harlow and Undine Eppert; her brother Harlow Junior Eppert; her husband Santo John DiMaggio; and son Michael Anthony DiMaggio. She is survived by her son Phillip Alan DiMaggio; daughter Sara Elizabeth DiMaggio; and her grandchildren Colton Alexander Butler and Angelina Marie DiMaggio; along with many nieces, nephews, and adopted family.

Services will be held on Friday, May 23, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
