Gordon Davidson was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. He was born on March 30, 1947 in Joiner, Arkansas, and passed away on April 24, 2023 in Kansas City, Missouri.

Gordon served in the U.S. Army and from there went on to build a family with his wife Sherry, who proceeded him in death in 2009. He owned a diesel repair shop in Corinth, Mississippi, before moving his family to Kansas City where he worked in maintenance and retired from Cardinal Health in 2015 after many years of dedicated service.

Outside of work, Gordon was a wonderful dad who loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was especially proud of his role as "papa" and cherished the time he spent with his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his brother Troy and his wife Martha; his sister Polly Profit and her husband Don; his sister Betty Howard; his sister Glaydis Cortez; his brother-in-law Bob Chizek and his wife Barbara; along with many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

Gordon is also survived by his three children Wayne Davidson and his wife Shay, Gordon Davidson Jr. and his wife Natasha, and Melisa Lagas and her husband Michael. He also leaves behind 14 grandchildren Jordan, Tuffton, Clayton, Jade, Alexandria, Michael Jr, Tyler, Joey, Mariana, Tanner, Jacob, Joshua, Kanten, and Trayden; and his five great-grandchildren Justin, Taylor, Abbie, Vince, and Jaken.

Gordon leaves behind a heartbroken family and countless friends who will miss him dearly. However, his impact on those he held dear will continue to be felt long after his passing. His love and memories will be cherished and treasured forever, serving as a reminder of the incredible person he was.

Services are open to all who knew and loved Gordon and his family. Graveside services with Military Honors will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 2, at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
