Grace Marie Calcara, 92, St. Louis, formerly of Kansas City, passed away Sunday, December 22. Visitation will be from 9-10 am Friday, December 27 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 2552 Gillham Road, Kansas City, Missouri, where the Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 am. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Raytown, MO.

Pre-deceased by her parents Mary (Donnici) and Chris DeLuca, husband of 42 years John J. Calcara, sister Carol LaBruzzo (Vito) and brother Jim DeLuca (Gladys). Grace is survived by her children Anna Marie Lemley (Bill), Rio Rancho, New Mexico, John Michael (Judith), St. Louis, and Christopher John, Kansas City. She also leaves a sister Clarine Spallo (Gus), Lee's Summit, Missouri, five grandchildren, great grandchildren, godchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Grace's nephews will be her pallbearers.

Grace was a devoted wife and mother who took great pride and pleasure in her work in the food industry for the Donnici, DiCapo and Disciacca families that occupied her for over 20 years until the age of 85. She also enjoyed various volunteer activities when she lived in Kansas City, including Gillis. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to any organization dedicated to curing or alleviating the effects of dementia and Alzheimer's disease.
