Grace R. (SCAVUZZO) Barnes, 95, passed away March 5, 2014. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Monday, March 10, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124, where a Memorial Service will begin at 5 p.m. Grace was cremated according to her wishes.

Grace was born April 7, 1918, in Chicago, IL. She sold real estate for 30 years, and was a member of St. Gabriel Parish for over 40 years. She enjoyed visiting Las Vegas and Harrah's Casino. Grace was preceded in death by her parents, John and Concetta Scavuzzo; her husband, Percy Barnes, Sr.; brothers, Santo, Eddie, and Carl Scavuzzo; sister, Mary Marra; and grandson, John J. Corbett.

Survivors include her children and their spouses, Thomas J. and Jenny Ribaudo, Grace and Albert Simsheuser; grandchildren, Cherrie Ribaudo, Debbie Ferrara and husband Andrew Zuniga, Vincent Ribaudo and fiancée JoAnna Caracci, Tim Simsheuser; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; sister, Helen Gallo; sister-in-law, Molly Scavuzzo; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
