On Monday, July 20, 2020, the Honorable Charles Joseph DeFeo, Jr. passed away at the age of 77.

Chuck was born on August 27, 1942, in Kansas City, MO to Charles and Anne DeFeo. He graduated from Assumption grade school, De La Salle Military Academy, and Benedictine College. In 1970, he completed his law degree from the University of Missouri, Kansas City. He served as Assistant City Prosecutor from 1970 to 1977 and as a Municipal Court Judge from 1977 to 2002.

On October 17, 1992, he married Kelly Mason DeFeo. For the last three decades they spent their winters in Palm Desert, CA. Together they enjoyed a life of golf, cooking, wine, and travel. Spending time with family and friends, along with his recliner and television, brought him the most joy. He is survived by his wife Kelly, two children, Anne Brewer and Chuck DeFeo, and six wonderful grandchildren: Andrew, Sydnie, Ethan, Layna Ann, Estee and Charley. He leaves behind the love of his three sisters Adele Perkins, Mary Jo Fontana, and Carol Heffernon, as well as several nieces and nephews.

A small family gathering was held, and a larger gathering is being considered for a later date. "Wait you guys can't leave yet, we haven't watched the video of my first birthday." You can still watch it here .
