Idamae (Travaglianti) Rodriguez, 86, Northeast Kansas City, MO, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2013, at NorthCare Hospice House. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, July 9, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124, where a Funeral Service will begin at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Idamae was born August 17, 1926, in Kansas City, MO. She graduated from Karnes Grade School and Manual High School. As a young child she played the accordion and piano on the local radio station. Idamae loved to travel with her family, enjoyed bowling and, when she got the chance, liked to go to the casinos.
She was preceded in death by parents, Frank Travalent and Rose (Palmesano) McArdle; her husband of 64 years, Alfred "Bill" Rodriguez; her son, William Rodriguez; granddaughter, Valerie Levens; and son-in-law, Joe Morano.
Idamae is survived by her son, David Rodriguez; daughters, Rosemary Morano, Diana Bennett, Joan James (Lynn); grandchildren, Michael Levens (Cheryl), Phillip White (Lisa), Jason White (Laura), Maria Johnston (Sean), Alicia Wheeler (John), Nicole Cooper; 16 great-grandchildren; brother, Frank Travalent Jr.; nieces and nephew.
Pallbearers: Michael Levens, Phillip White, Sean Johnston, Phillip Levens, Joseph Levens, and Jace White.
