Jacqueline
Filardo
Aug 30, 1935 — Nov 22, 2025
Jacqueline Filardo (Quarrato), 90, of Kansas City, MO, passed away November 22, 2025. Services will be held on Saturday, November 29, at St. James Catholic Church. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by the Funeral Mass at 12:00 p.m. Entombment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery.
Jacqueline was born on August 30, 1935, in Kansas City to Carlo and Jennie (Belfonte) Quarrato. She was the second of four children and grew up in Kansas City's North End neighborhood. She cherished her memories of growing up on Missouri Avenue—surrounded by lifelong friends, a close-knit community, and the family she loved dearly.
On April 8, 1961, Jacqueline married the love of her life, Marco Filardo. Together, they made their home in Kansas City's Historic Northeast and lovingly raised their three sons: Joseph, Carl, and John.
Jacqueline was a longtime parishioner of Assumption/St. Anthony's Parish. After moving to the Northland, she faithfully attended St. James Parish for more than 20 years.
Jacqueline was a beacon of love, kindness, and unwavering devotion. Her ability to love others came naturally and effortlessly. She displayed a gentle spirit and caring nature, pouring her heart and soul into her roles as a wife, mother, and grandmother.
She was known for spoiling her family with her famous manicotti, chicken spiedini, chocolate cake brownies, and fig cookies—each one made with love.
An avid bowler, bocce player, and lifelong sports enthusiast, Jacqueline never missed an opportunity to cheer—loudly and proudly—for her boys from the stands. She was a longtime member of the Daughters of Columbus and enjoyed music, attending plays (especially with her siblings), and offering rides to anyone who needed help getting to church.
Jacqueline is preceded in death by her beloved husband Marco Filardo; her son Joseph Filardo; her sister Rosemary (Quarrato) Cilia; brother-in-law Sal Cilia; sister Geraldine Quarrato; brother Michael Quarrato; sister-in-law Antoinette Quarrato; her parents Carlo and Jennie (Belfonte) Quarrato; her mother-in-law Carmen Filardo; father-in-law Joseph Filardo; and brother-in-law Victor Vogliardo.
She is survived by her sister-in-law Antoinette Vogliardo (Filardo); daughter-in-law Jo Filardo; her sons Carl (Pam) Filardo and John (Anita) Filardo; her grandchildren Jacqueline (Dominic) Greenlee, Anna (Rick) Bottoms, Kristin (Zac) Lester, Michael Filardo, Ali Filardo (Jon Riley), Anjanette (Rich) Suchanek, Gianna Filardo, Isabella Filardo, and Sophia Filardo; ten great-grandchildren, with two more expected in January; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers: Joe Vogliardo, Carl Quarrato, Dominic Greenlee, Rick Bottoms, Zac Lester, Jefferson Davis, Jeffrey Wessinger, Michael Filardo
