Obituary

James E. Elmore, Sr., 72, Kansas City, MO, passed away on May 23, 2019.

James was born August 10, 1946 in Hot Springs, Arkansas, to the late Howard and Sylvia Elmore. In his early 20's, he moved to Missouri, settling in the Northeast area of Kansas City. After several years of running a successful car lot, he began his career with Teamsters Local Union 541, retiring in 2007 after 33 years. In his retirement years he enjoyed taking care of his grandchildren, trips to the park, and to dairy queen for $5 buck meal deals. He loved all his grandchildren and they each held a special place in his heart. Weekends were saved for visits to the casino, driving around the old neighborhood, or hanging out in the garage listening to his favorite country music while reading the newspaper.  Sundays were for cracking open a "cold one" and watching a NASCAR race.

He is survived by his wife, Irene Elmore; brother, Raymond Elmore (Mary Lou); sister Susan Elmore Clenney of Hot Springs, AR; children, Ricky Elmore, Cynthia Elmore-Langer (Randy), Charles Elmore (Clara) of Phoenix, AZ, Marilyn Elmore, Carla Camacho (Chris), James Elmore Jr.;

Grandchildren, Samantha Pham (Bryan), Sarah Trinh (Vu), Andrew Langer, Brittany Elmore, Charles Elmore Jr., Brianna Ritter, Luke Elmore, Ricky Elmore Jr., Rhiannon Elmore, Isabella Camacho, Olivia Camacho, Josefina Camacho; great grandchildren, Aubree and Aiden Langer, Sophia Pham, Jayden and Lillian Trinh, and Camila Elmore. He will also be remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends.
