Our oldest son and brother, Jimmy Stewart, departed for Paradise from Temple, TX, on March 4, 2015. Born on August 3, 1960, in Kansas City, KS, he graduated from St. Joseph High School in Shawnee, KS. A trip with friends led to a lifelong love affair with the sandy beaches of Florida. A talented carpenter, Jim was one of the funniest, happiest men around. No matter where his travels and adventures took him, he always considered the beach his home. Jim lived his life to the fullest and always kept his family and friends entertained by sharing what he called a "funny". Certainly the life of the party! Jimmy, Jimbo, Stewbobby, Thurston Howell III and Captain Jim, we all miss you terribly.
Survived by his father, James M. Stewart (Carol); siblings, Michele Spencer, Abby Powell, John Stewart, Amy Gurss (Todd); grandmother Velma Webb; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and the many friends he made along the way.
Per Jimmy's wishes, his family will take him home to the Florida Keys to bid him a fond "Sea" you later. Blue Skies!!
