James Allan Stanley, 80, passed away Monday, May 16, 2016. Visitation will be 10 a.m. Thursday, May 19, at the Full Gospel Assembly Church, 10537 E. 6th St., Independence, MO 64053, where a Funeral Service will begin at 11 a.m. He will be buried at Lone Jack Cemetery.

James was born August 14, 1935, in Lone Jack, MO, and is going to Heaven so he can "wheel and deal" with his brothers. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Virginia Stanley; son, Bobby D. Woodward; grandchildren, Becky Pixley, Bryan and Tyler Woodward; great-grandchildren, Alexis, Ashley, Zander, and Roman James; and siblings, Raymond Stanley, Barbara Priestmeyer, Thelma Robison, and Faye Reed.
