Janice D. Nance-James passed away December 23, 2024, in the comfort of her own home, at the age of 71.

Janice was born September 30, 1953, in Kansas City, Kansas, to the late James R. and Viola Mae (Soldan-Els) Nance, and grew up in the Northeast area where she was part of the "Drury Natives". She was a 1971 graduate of Northeast High School and was a member of the Theta Literary Society. She later worked at UMKC as a secretary and typist for the medical school staff. She was also a member of the Brownies and Girl Scouts.

Janice is survived by her beloved dog Rocky, two sisters and her brother.
