Janie Lynn Herschell, 61, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on January 19, 2018, at North Kansas City Hospital. She was cremated according to her wishes.

Janie was born on December 3, 1956, to the late Clyde and Adell Decker of Guthrie, Oklahoma.  Janie is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, George and Nicole Eshnaur; son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Ashley Eshnaur; sisters, Portia Kilburn, Trish Cuccia, Joanie and Ross Barber (brother-in-law); brothers, Mark Decker, Mitch Decker, and Del Peeler; grandchildren, Emmalyne Eshnaur and Parker Eshnaur; partner, Greg Smith; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial Visitation will be 1-4 p.m. Saturday, January 27, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124, where the Rosary will be prayed at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association.

The family would like to thank all the family and friends who have shared stories, relived memories, and provided comfort over the last week. The life and love Janie shared with all of us brings her family peace, and she will be missed by all.
