Jannifer Lynn Truelove, age 62, of Kansas City, Missouri, peacefully departed her family and friends on November 13, 2011.

Jannifer was born August 25, 1949 in Jamestown, North Dakota. The family moved to Mountain Grove, Missouri during her childhood years and later settled in Kansas City. Jannifer was known for her colorful personality and great sense of humor. Her beautiful blue eyes and warm smile reflected her independent spirit and love of life to the world around her. With an abundance of flowers and wildlife always seen in her backyard, Jannifer's passion for the outdoors was apparent with the beautiful gardens she nurtured every summer. Jannifer enjoyed traveling and had a particular love for Florida's tropical beauty, for Colorado's majestic mountains, and the endless blue skies of the Kansas plains. Her love of life and fighting spirit could best be remembered as a time when she found a newly-hatched baby dove whose nest was destroyed. She took the tiny baby dove to raise, knowing the odds that such a small delicate creature would be nearly impossible to save. But with hope, persistence, and lots of loving care the tiny dove grew up, learned to fly, and returned to the wild as a free-living friend visiting her backyard every day. Each day that passed the dove began to flock with the other wild doves, but it never forgot her and would return to her hand or shoulder to give gentle "peck kisses" whenever it saw her. This one tiny dove that beat the odds with the help from someone who never gave up and brought hope.

Jannifer leaves her family as a beloved daughter, sister, and mother and will be deeply missed by her family. Her friends were special and she cherished the memories of times she had with them. Jannifer's hope was for all to remember her as she was in the full vibrance of life, and the comfort in knowing that from Heaven we will never be forgotten. She believed the world has enough grief and sorrow, and this should not be a time for more. In her honor, a special remembrance celebration will be planned for family and friends to take place in the coming springtime, which was Jannifer's favorite time of year.
