Jasper Joseph "Jay" Corsentino, 78, passed away Thursday, August 14, 2014. Visitation will begin with the Rosary at 4 p.m. and continue until 7 p.m. on Sunday, August 17 at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 18, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 911 E. Missouri Ave., Kansas City, MO 64106 with reflections at 9:45 a.m. and the Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Entombment will follow in Resurrection Mausoleum, Kansas City North.

Jay was born January 19, 1936, in Kansas City, MO, to Sam and Dorothy (O'Brien) Corsentino. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Jay owned and operated The Esquire, 101 Unisex, and Jay's Barber Shops before retiring in 2013. He also owned Tino's Italian Restaurant and was co-owner of The Godfather's in the River Quay.

Jay was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 48 years, Susan (Fasone) Corsentino, in 2007; and his brother, Samuel Corsentino. He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Dorothy and Mike Silvio, Lela and Ryan Reffett; his grandchildren, Charlene and Craig, Elizabeth and Alan, Paul Michael, Jasper, Carol Lena, Sammy, Suzie, and Carol Sue; and his great-granddaughter, Annabella.

Pallbearers: Anthony Gialde, Craig Benjamin, Jasper Silvio, Paul Silvio, Sam Reffett, Patrick Mundell, and Luke Davenport.

Honorary Pallbearers: Gus Spallo, Joe Corsentino, Joe Brancato, Larry Gialde, Chuck Cacioppo, Jimmy Artese, Carl Shortino, Frank Corsentino, Sonny Artese, Mark Nigro, Joe Mike Christifano, and Nick Fiorello.

Jay was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be missed by all.
